Trade shows are in full swing and they are HOT. This is one of the best ways to get the advertising message of a company or brand into the hands of others. There are trade shows all over the country. Auto shows, stock shows and rodeos, advertising specialty shows and the list goes on.
Anyone who has a booth at a trade show should have a table cover imprinted with their logo as well as an attractive display on which to hang the items they are promoting whether it be shirts, hats, jackets or even writing instruments.
Last year I went to a trade show in Las Vegas. It is one of the largest industry trade shows for the advertising specialty items you can find in the USA! I honestly think I could have found anything I wanted there related to advertising specialty items.
On display were ink pens, magnetic clips, coffee mugs, banners, ice scrapers and note pads just to name a few.
A great many of these items were attached to the display boards with velcro for easy on-off to show off as well as great visibility to catch the eye of those attending the show.

Pens get into the hands of many people. In the life of a pen, one will be used on average by 8 people. That is a lot of exposure for one ink pen let along 300 or more.
Coffee mugs are a bit different. Usually only used by the original recipient, coffee mugs are being used more and more by small and large businesses just because of the amount of coffee and tea that is consumed on any given day. Why not have your brand or business name on 144 coffee mugs? You never know who will see them!
Ice scrapers are a big hit too. Anymore it does not matter where one gives them away because at some point everyone needs to scrape ice. How about Florida recently, Washington, D.C. and points beyond. Ice scrapers can be as simple as a credit card size up to a 7" 0r 10" and the large snow brush ice scraper combination.
